Welcome to the Town of West Yellowstone’s Fire Department's website. We are pleased to provide you with information about our organization and the services we provide. We take great pride in our service to the residents, visitors and businesses of the Town of West Yellowstone. This website assists us in our service to the town by providing you information on whom and what we are. We will also post updated news and events as well as host safety information that you can use in your personal and professional life. Further improvements are planned to the website based on the feedback we get from you. The Town of West Yellowstone is located just outside the west gate entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We are 90 miles south of Bozeman, MT and 90 miles east of Rexburg, ID. We proudly protect the Town of West Yellowstone and the surrounding areas. We provide Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services with both paid and volunteer members. We currently have 6 paid staff; two of which are paramedics and 25 volunteers. Our members are continually working and training to provide the best possible services we can provide.
The community has an ISO PPC rating of 7. This was a recent accomplishment of the staff and volunteers. The hard work and dedication showed and will continue. Our plan is to work towards a rating of 5 or lower over the next two years.
